Little Audrey: The Skipping Girl
APositive worked with a sound designer to create an ambient soundscape and subtle visual effects to augment artist Jim Thalassoudis’s painting Little Audrey: The Skipping Girl. Rather than altering the artwork, the aim was to enhance the work by allowing viewers who have mobile devices to use the APositive augmented reality app and scan Thalassoudis’s painting to tap into a broader sensory and evocative experience. The painting depicts the iconic Skipping Girl Vinegar sign in Melbourne which was Australia’s first animated neon sign. APositive has now taken that animation to a new level. The combined work featured at the 2014 Melbourne Art Fair.
